church life

Sunday Worship

Our weekly worship is the center of our church life. Below is a typical Sunday schedule:

9:30 AM – Sabbath School
10:30 AM – Morning Worship
12:00 PM – Fellowship Meal
1:15 PM – Alternates between formal afternoon worship and informal “chalk talk” teaching time

Women’s Bible Study

On the first Wednesday of each month, the women of our church gather for a Bible Study. Typically, they work through one book of the Bible at a time.

monthly fellowship nights

Most months, we gather together as a church family for a night of fellowship. Events include our annual hayride (pictured here), a neighborhood ice cream social, game nights, and other fun events.

family camp

Reformed Presbyterian churches around the country host family camps annually, in which church members of all generations come together for a week of spiritual growth, fun, and fellowship. Every year, our congregation co-hosts the Iowa Reformed Presbyterian Family Camp with the Sharon RP Church. For more information on the 2025 camp, please visit iowarpfamilycamp.org

Prayer Meetings

Each month on the second and fourth Wednesdays, we gather at the church building for a time of prayer. First, Pastor Dewell leads a short devotional related to the topic of prayer, and then we spend time praying for the needs of our members, our neighbors, and our world.

Youth group

The youth of the church meet once a month, on the third Saturday of the month for a time of fellowship and teaching. Various other times of fellowship and service are scheduled throughout the year. The youth also often attend quarterly Midwest Covenanter Youth Retreats (pictured)
